Hannah Thayer was probably the daughter of Thomas Thayer, Jr. and Hannah (Unknown) Thayer. Faxon and Whorf's 1906 NEHGR article Tayer (Thayer) Family Entries in the Parish Register of Thornbury, Gloucestershire, England[1] and Cutter (no doubt in reliance on Faxon and Whorf)[2] suggested that Hannah and her sister Sarah may have been the daughters of Thomas Thayer, Sr and Margery (Wheeler) Thayer. Sprague, however, concluded that "Sarah and Hannah were positively not daughters of Thomas1 or Richard1 Thayer, and are undoubtedly children of Thomas2 Thayer."[3] No doubt based on her presumed parents' date of marriage (about 1643) and the fact that her presumed sister Sarah was married before Hannah and thus probably older, Sprague estimated Hannah's date of birth as "between 1645 and 1646."[4]
Hannah and Samuel Hayden were married in Braintree on October 28, 1664 by Major Lusher.[5][4]
Hannah and Samuel had the following children, all born in Braintree:

I agree that Savage is somewhat unclear, but I read it as saying that the Jonathan who married this Hannah removed to Taunton about 1700. I don't think Sprague relied on Savage, however. I think he used primary sources. I note that the Sprague link you provided says that Jonathan (Hannah's husband) moved to Taunton about 1706 and that he had been a part-time resident there since 1701. That is a lot more info than is in Savage.
On POD, I added a couple of additional sources to Jonathan Paddleford's profile. I think the original info comes from Savage, but when I read the original text, I think he's saying that their son Jonathan removed to Taunton. (Its 3 generations of Jonathan's so its confusing}.
Thayer-3505 and Thayer-1760 appear to represent the same person because: Same parents, spouse, similar dates. Please be sure to use data from Thayer-1760, as its been carefully sourced.
I'm curious about her death being in Taunton? It looks like Sprague was the source, but I don't see any other facts that would place her there. I'm a little suspicious since there's so much confustion with this line and the Taunton Thayers.
Thayer-2261 and Thayer-1760 do not represent the same person because: These two profiles have different birth and death dates, different husbands, and different death locations.
Thayer-2963 and Thayer-1760 appear to represent the same person because: Thayer-2963 has very little information other than birth or death dates. Birth dates are the same. Death date must be 1697 if she is the mother of Jonathon Paddleford born 1679
