Hi Joey

One of our mentors created a tutorial for the GEDCOMpare process that others found very helpful. I hope that you will too.

Hi Joey,

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz and joining the South Africa project!

Because pre-1700 ancestors are usually shared by many descendants, collaborating with members of the projects which coordinate them is essential.

Use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find other projects you might have an interest in.

Remember to cite reliable sources in pre-1700 profiles you manage, or edit. (See:https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Pre-1700_Profiles#Cite_reliable_sources).

P.S. If links do not work in an email from WikiTree, try them from the comment section on your profile page.

Some tips to how WikiTree works:
  1. Getting Started
  2. Adding to WikiTree.
  3. Pre-1700 Quiz (self-certifying in order to understand better how to de pre-1700 genealogical work on WikiTree)
  4. What are duplicates? Why should and how can they be avoided?
  5. G2G Help - for any questions you may have ....

For your sentence "How do I create a master source for Wikitree to add to my database at home?" I refer you to the G2G Help section. See if your question has already been asked or ask how (I understand you'd like to export from WikiTree). Because I do not have an answer for that.

Hi Joey, I see that you have been a member of WikiTree since 2012. A belated welcome! Regarding you question: "I am busy with my Van Zyl family tree. Wikitree is a good source for me to confirm information. How do I create a master source for Wikitree to add to my database at home? Then I can just add the person of interest? Any help will be appreciated. I would like to join this project please.". There is no simple answer. I have to give two. In two separate comments.
