Hi Hermanus, please realise when you are dis-connecting, connecting and then dis-connecting profiles from communal profiles, that you are at worst tampering with data (i.e. vandalising) and at least in-validating the lines of other WikiTree contributors. That is when you are not providing adequate sources.

Hi Hermanus, a belated welcome to WikiTree. I noticed that you've made some changes in the data fields of profiles. While we encourage contributors to be bold in editing, there is also some protocols to be followed when doing so. For example, you edited the date of death on the profile of Kriell-8. However - this change needs to be noted in the bio. We collate data. We do not merely change it. And we source (and the date entered with your WikiTree-ID/name added to it) our contributions. This in order to keep profiles neat and clean in order to validate them for future research. My Heritage is not regarded as a source. Nor is Geni.com.
