"Ruth Whetny, d. John & Ruth Whetny, b. 15 2m 1645" [Note that in the old calendar, the second month was April.] at Watertown, Middlesex, Massachusetts.[1] (15 Apr 1645 at Watertown, Middlesex, Massachusetts).[2][3]
Ruth Whitney "Whetey" and John Shattuck were married at Watertown, middlesex, Massachusetts on 20 June 1664.[1][4][5]
Enoch [Lorance] and Ruth Shatack, [were married on] Mar. 6, 1676" at Watertown[1] (6 March 1677[6]).
In 1678, she removed with her second husband and the Shattuck children to Groton, Massachusetts, and occupied John Shattuck's land there.[7]
Her husband, Enoch Lawrence, died on 28 SEP 1744 at Groton, Middlesex, Massachusetts, at the age of 95.[7] The date of her death has not been found.
NOTE: The death information for Ruth, 28 SEP 1744 at Watertown, as shown on a FindAGrave memorial for her, is clearly erroneous, as that is the date of her husband's death. No gravestone picture is shown.[8] Also, I cannot find a record of her death in Watertown in 1718 or on 28 Sept 1714.Watt-266 18:45, 1 May 2016 (EDT)
