The England Project Leaders check-in with the members every six months to see how people are getting on. How are you doing? I notice you've dropped out of the Orphan Trail. Is there a particular reason for this? I'd love to have your feedback.
One requirement for membership in the project is that you contribute to a team at least once every six months. Are you willing to rejoin the Trail or would you prefer to leave the project for now and focus on other things? If you do the latter you'd be most welcome to rejoin later on.
We realise the time has come to dissolve the UK Project in favour of the individual country projects of England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland.
We are checking in with all UK badge holders to find out which country project(s) you would like to be in so you can collaborate with other members, have the opportunity to select which team(s) you would like to join, and so we can ensure you have all the correct badges.
Please respond by PM to let us know which country project(s) you would like to be in. Please dont assume we know. We are effectively starting from scratch to make sure no one falls through the cracks.
Once you have done this, the Coordinator for Membership in the relevant country project(s) will be in touch to help get you situated.
Im the new Project Coordinator for the England Project. I am contacting you, as there have been some recent changes to the project which we are keen to bring to your attention. Please look at the England Project page for more information on the changes and the ways members are able to actively contribute moving forward. Once you have considered how you would like to participate, please contact either myself or Susie to let us know. We can then list your involvement, help you join the Google group forum for England, and give you any other help you may need to get going. If we dont hear back from you well assume you do not wish to be a part of the England Project for the time being. We really hope you will join the team!

Thank you so much for getting back with me. DNA has helped us confirm many of our family lines - but the Weeks line has a lot of gaps. We seem to have some relation to the New England Francis Weeks line - not Virginia Francis as we'd thought. So, back on the trail. Please let me know if you make any interesting discoveries. We are trying to look for one of the New England line who migrated to the Carolinas or Ga before or during the Revolution.
Congratulations, you've been a WikiTree member for a month! We're glad you're here. A few tips to help you dive in even deeper:
Check out Beyond the Basics of WikiTree for a guide on some of our more advanced features such as Projects, Categories, and Merging.
We're very active on our social sites and we have an excellent blog where you'll find our monthly newsletter as well as tips, interviews with our members and guest posts from others in the genealogy community.
As always, I'm here to help if you have any questions!
I see you are working on merges, you may want to review Matching and Merging FAQ to understand your responsibilities in doing merges.
Remember, after the merge you will want to clean up the text. During a merge, the text from the merged-away profile is simply appended onto the end of the text of the merged-into profile. You will want to integrate it into a single biography and a single sources section.
You will also want to review all other family members for potential duplicates and review any conflicts in parents. If you have any questions, just let me know.
Hi Wayne , Thanks for your message. Excellent and welcome! I've added the UK project badge to your profile. If you click on the badge it will take you to the full list of our wonderful members. Click on United Kingdom Project will take you the first page of the project. Scroll down to participants. I've added your good self . Can you add your Country/County of interest etc. You'll also find info on how to join the project google group. I'll let you explore and catch up with you later.
Hello. I've imported my Family Tree DNA report and went through and accepted and rejected multiple names. How do I approve the report so it'll show up on my WikiTree Family tree? Thank you.
I was born in Toronto, Canada. Moved to California when I was 5. After 49 years there I moved to Illinois where I now reside. My parents were born in Toronto and Winnipeg, Canada. Their parents immigrated to Canada from England and Scotland. I've traced my direct relatives to Manchester/Lancaster, England and Aberdeen, Scotland where my brick walls currently reside.
