Thanks for the merge of two Frankie Daniels but . . . It seems there is nothing to show the Roan guy married the Frankey/Frankie/Frances Daniel of my family (born an awful lot earlier than he was, if the data here are correct) although i don't doubt he married someone of the same name. Hi Carolyn, I came across some edits you made on Swedish profiles.

By the way, I see that one of your lines is Van Vleck. My nephew's daughter in California married a Van Vleck. I don't know how common that surname is, but it would be interesting to know if our families were connected.

P.S. To find reliable sources for your profiles, go to the Family Tree & Tools tab; select Genealogy Research and scroll down near the bottom of that list and select Research with RootsSearch. There are over 20 websites to access from there.

Pre-1700 ancestors can be shared by many descendants, so collaboration is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.

I’m going to suggest that the New Netherland Settlers project might fit your current research focus. If not, use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find other possibilities. Review the project page to learn about resources and guidelines as well as how to collaborate with the project members.

Please take your time. Accuracy is so much more important than speed on WikiTree. And please add locations, dates, and at least one reliable source to each profile, particularly any pre-1700s profile, before you leave it. (See: Pre-1700 Reliable Sources).

P.S. You might already know this, but Van Vleck was spelled different ways in the 1700s. Try searching for Van Vliek, Van Vleek, VanVleek, etc. Whatever you can think of. You can't imagine what they did with my grandmother's maiden name, Van Schoonhoven! I have a feeling that you are a Nieuw Amsterdam person, too. If not, please find another project that catches your eye.
