Biography

Whitney was born 19 February 1896 in Key West, Florida.^[1] He was the son of Frank Henry Watlington Papy and Melvina B. Russell.

He married Adella Isabella Borden on 16 December 1930 in Key West in a ceremony performed by Hugh Gunn, County Judge.^[2] The witnesses were Mrs. Thelma Whitehead and Raymond R. Lord.

Whitney died on 15 October 1978 in Key West,^[3] and he is buried there in the City Cemetery.^[4]
