unmerged Matches

Question

Hello every Body. While looking around the site and  being Nosey I had a look at Unmerged Matches and I come across Byrne-1492 Profile Manager Brian Lane Created in 2014 and a match with Byrne-94 profile manager Barbara Kochmit Created in 2011.  If I believe them to be a match can I Merge them or is it better to bring to the attention of the wikitree team? I don't want to upset any body but every Profile name for both family's is a match

The mothers need to be merged before this one can take place.  That's probably why it was placed there - it's the same, but not ready yet. It's always best to merge from the top downwards.

Talk to the PMs.  That's what they're there for. :)

Thank you Ros. Not as dark as mud just cloudy water.

I have come across an other one Byrne -1209 but this one has no PM.  and Byrne-794 that does A Jackie King but last modified in 2014 so what happens with them.

If you find a profile that is an 'orphan', ie no PM, adopt the profile and propose the merge.  That will hopefully speed the merge process because if the merge is proposed, it will probably wait the default 30 days if only one profile has a PM approval.

Thank you Linda.  Now I cant find Byrne-1209 Pity there is not a button you can mark so you can find what you was looking at. I've now got the cat telling me off he wants my chair to sleep in.

I have adopted Byrne-1209 and tried to merge with Byrne-794 as there is a 100% match and it will not let me what am I doing wrong.

The unmerged match has to be removed first before the new match can be proposed.

Thank you Ros I have done that and sent a p message to the PM of Byrne-794. Why does Genealogy give you a head ache any body Know.
