Top Level Category Issue

The profile of Noah Smith (Smith-13101) is listed on Data Doctors with the error 885 Using Top Level Category. When looking at the profile, the Connecticut Category appears in the list of categories, but when I look in the edit window, the Connecticut Category is missing. How can I possibly remove the top level category when it doesn't show in the edit window? Can somebody else remove this?

It's the 1776 sticker. You have to put the entire category in the unit=, so unit=Connecticut, American Revolution.  I already fixed it.

And how was I supposed to know that?

I was looking for a blatant Category:Connecticut marker.

I am guessing that the 1776 sticker is likely the cause as it  says {{1776 Sticker |unit=Connecticut |rank= Soldier}} . The unit parameter looks to be creating the category from reading at https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:1776#Sticker with their examples shown.

Best to tag your question with Military and War as they may be able to find you the correct Unit parameter.
