How do I fix error 724 on [[Morey-1392|Unknown Morey (1924-1924)]] if anonymous or unknown are not allowed?

Question

While browsing my family’s error suggestions I thought I could fix this but I can’t figure it out. Could Admin fix it for me and then explain.

“724 error Wrong word in First Name of Morey-1392”

“Anonymous - Wrong: Anonymous not allowed on open and public profiles.”

Stillborn is noted on death Certificate. No name is listed on her Minnesota  birth or death certificates except Baby Girl (which WikiTree will not accept in the First name field).

I added birthdate and source but can’t fix the 724 error. 

How do I fix error 724 on  [[Morey-1392|Unknown Morey (1924-1924)]] if anonymous or unknown or Baby Girl are not acceptable?

Hi Sue. The answer is to use "Unnamed Infant". See this help page:

It says:

If an infant died before he or she could be named use what is on their death record according to their conventions, otherwise use Unnamed Infant. Do not use Infant Boy, Baby Girl, etc.

While Unnamed Infant is the correct choice for this profile, I just want to point out that Unknown is an acceptable first name and, if you tried that, it should have been accepted.

I did try unknown but the error /warning message remained. Now with Unnamed Infant the error /warning message was gone on the profile page but not on the suggestion page. I’ll check in a few days. Either it just needs to update or I did it wrong. Thank you.

Suggestions don't just go away.  They need to be updated as corrected (when actually corrected, or commented otherwise if not corrected because not an error).

Right, Sue. The suggestions are updated weekly, around Monday. As Gaile said, "Unknown" would have worked with a capital letter "U", but "unknown" wouldn't, as you discovered.

So if something else has to be done in the suggestions, can one of you do that for me?

Melanie, I'm sure you're aware that if the error is corrected, the suggestion does just go away, the following week:-) It does however help to mark it as corrected on the suggestion status page, because that saves Data Doctors taking time to look at it.
