Advice before editing this pre-1700 Unknown profile?

I have information to contribute to the profile of Mary (Unknown) Gildersleeve. This is what I can add:

• wouldnt her maiden name be her fathers last name?

Should I contact one of the pre-1700 projects or know about any style guidelines before proceeding? Thank you!

Her profile has been merged a couple of times, and one of the profiles had Munn as LNAB.  But, there is a note in the change log that no source could be found for Munn as her parent or maiden name.  If you've found a good source - not a secondary compilation -  to connect her with her supposed father, then yes, Munn would be her LNAB.
