Mayflower non-descendant [closed]

It seems everyone wants to be a Mayflower descendant, even if it means grasping on to any flimsy thread they can find.

Is there anyway to protect a dubious profile from being connected to proven Mayflower descendants?  It would save a lot of debate.  I've connected the profile that has triggered my question, but I'm interested as a general principle.

In this case, the manager has already removed the connection to Zerviah Bosworth. https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Bosworth-1031

Hi Stu,

Since the Mayflower Project's scope really only extends to children born by the year 1700, Abigail's relationship, and even the purported mother, are beyond its range. It probably would be best to ensure that solid sources and obvious == disputed == sections (up top) are kept on all the profiles involved.

If you continue to have trouble with them being reattached, you could request that the Connecticut Project provide protection.

I guess the real question is if this is something the Mayflower group want to be involved with.  I expect this is just one of many examples.
