Is there a "Lidmatenregister" for Beemster / Purmerend between 1798-1808?

Hello,

I am working on the profile of [[Hollenkamp-62|Gerrit Hollenkamp]], an immigrant to the Netherlands. He was born in 1777 in Ankum, Germany. He married on 1 May 1808 in Beemster. Is there a "Lidmatenregister" for the Beemster or Purmerend region (where he later lived) for the time period between 1798-1808 available digitally?

Thank you for your help

Sven,

Yes, there is, they are kept at the regional "Waterlands Archief":

That said, these will probably be of little value in your research as the Hollenkamp family were Roman Catholics and lidmatenregisters were only in use in the protestant churches.

Hello Jan,

thank you very much for your response. It is great to benefit from your knowledge! :D

Would there be any chance to find any other records on Catholic immigrants?

The Ankum church books show no "side notes" during this time period (in the 1830s in other parishes their often is a side note for US emigrants). I guess not?

I guess there are no Dutch address boooks kept for the period 1798-1808, either?

Thanks - Sven

Hi Sven,

If there are any address books for Beemster/Purmerend for that time I can not find them...

Edit: fixed typo
