Help with Italian birth record

I am trying to look up the birth records for [[Chimento-32|Michele Chimento (1879-1946)]] using the Portale Antenati.  This is a new area for me not having worked with Italian records before.  I found this:  https://antenati.cultura.gov.it/ark:/12657/an_ua35982156/5ValmEO  I think I have found the right record based on the information from the US records, but not knowing Italian have been working with Google translate.   It is the right name and also close to the right date.   What I don't know is where on the register the parents are.   Any help would be appreciated.

I made this page that may be helpful:

Extracting Information from Italian Records (wikitree.com)

Agree with Rick, the 13 Nov 1879 birth record is the one you want. Michele on the marriage record has an unknown father and his mother is Tommasina Chimento, so he took her surname.

The fact that he named his son Luigi suggests that he might know the identity of his father, even if his father didn't legally acknowledge him, but then again, it might also be the name of Tommasina's father.
There is a Louis listed as his father on FindaGrave.  I am thinking that this is likely either his fathers actual name  or a later husband of his mother.  Either way, from seeing how Italian names work, his father's name would not have been Luigi Chimento.   Did you happen to note the age of the mother on the birth record?
Correct, likely not Luigi Chimiento.

The birth record for Michele doesn't give Tommasina's age. You could reasonably estimate her age somewhere between 20 and 30 years and then look for possible matching birth records for her.
There is a Tommasina Chimento born 7 Jun 1857, daughter of Angelo Chimento and Maria Croco.

The fifth line down should be the name of the father, Antonino, and the ninth line down should be the name of the mother Angela.

Is this the record you are looking for?

Antonino Michele Angelo Chimento born 9 Jul 1878.

Father Pietro Chimento, Mother Serafina Simone.

This appears to be the more likely of the two.  Wondering if the marriage record at: https://antenati.cultura.gov.it/ark:/12657/an_ua35943517/La1NGzW can confirm the age for Michele?
Marriage record indicates he was 19, which would put his birth in late 1879 or early 1880. I am not sure the parents in this record are the same as the parents in the birth record.

This record looks like a better match.

Michele Chimento born 13 Nov 1879. Father is not listed, he was presented by a Levatrice or Midwife. Mother is listed as Tommasina (spelling questionable) Chimento.

Ancestors Portal, Acri, Nati, 1879, Resestro 71, page 177, Record 445.

I have found this site to be useful in reading records, translating names looking up occupations etc. Sicilian Civil Records (conigliofamily.com)

I found that one as well and agree it seems better.   The mother is listed as Tommazina in find-a-grave.  It also lists a father, Louis.

Thanks for the help
From the birth + marriage records, Mike's mother was  Tommasina Chimento (filatrice=spinner) and his father was padre incerto + Ignatto =unknown.

Note in the 1899 marriage record that Tommasina was still living. Maria's father was also still living but her mother was already deceased.

The other person I have had challenges finding in Italy is Leonard Guerre/Leonardo Guerra. [[Guerre-12|Leonard Guerre (1895-1980)]]  His US records list him as being born in Carpinone, Campobasso, Molise in August 1895 (or 1893).  I have searched through the birth records for Carpinone from1892-1897 and haven't found something I can recognize.

It is possible, he wasn't actually born in Carpinone and just lived there prior to immigrating, but I haven't found an actual immigration/arrival record for him either, so it is possible the whole name was created after arrival.
