Hi, I have 2nd Great Grandparents by the names of Harriet Ann Robbins and Arnold Robbins. I'm struggling to find any records for either of them. I know Arnold was born, buried and married in Quinton, Stratford, Warwickshire, but I'm not completely sure if Harriet was born in Gloucestershire or Warwickshire. They had a daughter called Salome, and were born around 1885. Salome was born in 1907, Quinton, Stratford, Warwickshire.
Thanks, Kearra

Yes Harriet Ann Haines is correct as others have found for you. Salome's birth is registered in Shipston-on-Stour.

That area of England is particularly confusing as to which parish belongs in which county. There have been several boundary changes and furthermore the registration districts overlap county lines. It's close to the "Four Shire Stone" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Four_shire_stone which marked the spot where Gloucestershire, Warwickshire, Worcestershire and Oxfordshire all met. Basically, Gloucestershire lost territory so many ancestors who would have been born in Glos. now have birthplaces in Warwickshire or Oxfordshire.
