Question

What is the rule for adding {{European Royals and Aristocrats}} to a profile? Any profile, that is about a European aristocrat? Or must that profile apply to certain rules (style)? Or just profiles that are under project protection? Or... ?

Always look at the appropriate project page to determine which profiles the project expects to manage. Some projects want to manage all profiles that fall within the scope of the project (Puritan Great Migration) some want to limit the types of profiles they manage (Notables). If you can not determine from the info on the project page whether the profile needs a project box with project management or a sticker you should contact the project directly and let them direct you.

Looking at the profile I see no indication it qualifies for protection so I would just use the sticker.

Deb, please remember to always mention that a profile, if given the project box template, must be managed by a project.  At present we have several thousand profiles with the project box but without the project as a PM, which causes DB errors and is causing a lot of work for the leaders . . .  Thanks!

Hi Ronnie, the rules around project templates/box is now that they also have to have the project as the profile manager or one of the profile managers and that is usually reserved for profiles that are  "highly controversial profiles of historically-significant people and widely-shared ancestors".  Project protection is different again.

If you just want to indicate that a profile fits within a project, for instance you want to indicate that Georg von Glasenapp is an European aristocrat than you can add a sticker instead of a template.

The sticker for European Aristocrats is 

{{EuroAristo Sticker|place=Castilla}} where you replace Castilla with whatever country is appropriate.
