I do.  I was greeted by a wonderful volunteer greeter and helped along my way by wonderful Mentors.

Imagine how you could help shape the future of our Big Ole Tree by volunteering to be a Greeter or a Mentor,   An hour or two, one day a week is all it would take!

This is the most rewarding work I've done in WikiTree!  I love being a mentor and helping to get new members off to a good start!

Lol I do as well and truthfully I had of probably been more active  from the very begining had we had the greeters and mentors  then.  It was hard to really get with the flow because neither project existed when I first joined the group.

Mentors and greeters are especially essential because they as well as the leaders are the first people the average user  comes in contact with as well as an essential contact between most people and sources of information.

anyway anyone that would be willing to join either group believe me you wont regret it.

I am a fairly new member and I am very impressed by how well people have paid attention to me.

People here seem genuine and want to help and there is no pressure to buy things.

I am very grateful to have a place that I can share the years and yaers of work with others in my immediate family and You, the larger famliy. I am thrilled that other people can look over and add to the work I have done.

Most importantly, it will still be here when I am not.

Thanks for exisitng, WikiTree!!

Being a greeter is a great way to learn how wikitree works very quickly! (that's if you are greeting numerous hours a week)

I do! I wasn't sure of what to do or say and quite frankly was a little intimidated. I quickly recieved a message from a greeter (shout out to Bill D) and soon found myself immersed in the tree. Now I spend 5+ hours per week (because I want to) being the first person a new guest comes into contact with, answering their questions and pointing them in the right direction. I'm amazed how the smallest jesture like thanking them for joining or uploading a GEDCOM puts people at ease.

I get messages almost everyday from folks who thank me for making their first experience with WikiTree an enjoyable one.

If you have the time, volunteer to be a greeter or a mentor. The new friends and contacts you make is priceless.
