It was Joseph 3 mentioned in his father in law Daniel Brigg will of 9/9/1727 and not this Joseph. Daniel Brigg's daughter Hannah would have been too old for this Joseph to have married.

I removed the mother "Hannah Briggs" from this profile. This Joseph Gardner/Gardiner was not the son of Joseph Gardiner & "Hannah Briggs". He was the wife of Hannah Briggs, as stated in his profile biography. My source for this Gardiner family is not based on DNA testing but comes from the following publication: The Gardiners of Narragansett Being a Genealogy of George Gardiner the Colonist 1638. Page 15 shows that the mother is not recorded with the births of the children, only the fathers name Joseph Gardiner appears and I have not yet found any documentation to prove otherwise
Gardner-10089 and Gardner-6973 do not represent the same person because: They are father and son. It is Joseph b. ca 1671 who married Hannah Briggs. Joseph b. ca 1671 son Joseph b. ca 1703 marriage is unknown. Now that Joseph Gardiner-423 and Joseph Gardner-10089 are a bit cleaner, I will propose the mere of those 2.

Gardner-10089 and Gardner-6973 appear to represent the same person because: Joseph Gardner-10089 is a duplicate of Joseph Gardner-6973, they are the same person. Also, the duplicate Joseph Garner-10089, is not a son of George, that would be Joseph Gardiner-423
