Il était le fils de Joseph Lecompte Lavimodière et de Marie-Madeleine Jacques.

Il a épousé Marie-Josephe Jarret le 5 février 1776 à St-Antoine-sur-Richelieu, QC.

(Marie-Josephe Jarret est décédée le 12 novembre 1786)

Il a épousé Agathe Dubé le 20 septembre 1790 à St-Pierre, Sorel, QC.
