Duplicate profiles are a fairly common mistake (we’ve all done it) and wikitree’s solution is to merge them into one. If you wish to continue as a profile manager, do nothing and you’ll be a co-manager after the merge. If you want to remove yourself as manager, go to the profile in question. Scrolling down a bit, on the right side, you’ll see the heading “Collaboration”. The first paragraph begins with “Edit” after which you’ll see “the Trusted List” underlined. Click on “the Trusted List”. Scroll past the information on Privacy Levels until you find the Trusted List section and follow the directions to remove yourself as manager. Hope this is helpful, Kay.
I’m sorry you are having difficulty adding family members, it sounds like there are others working on your family tree. Do you use the search box at the top of your page before creating new profiles? If you don’t find the person you are looking for, try searching for their spouse and both sets of parents. (You might find the right person with a different spouse, remarriages were very common.) French alternative spellings and dit names sometimes makes finding profiles a bit challenging, I find searching for spouse and parents to be a useful strategy. Regards, Kay

I have photos and records that I would like to add to my ancestors, still working on that process. There are a few projects that I would be interested in working on. Now I'm researching my ancestors that settled in Quebec 1500's and 1600's. I've been researching my family trees since 2005---so many typed pages---so many hours but it has been fun. Thank-you for you message. Gail
