Biography

Captain Elihu Adams served with Middlesex County Militia, Massachusetts Militia during the American Revolution.

Elihu Adams is a DAR Patriot Ancestor, A000465.

Elihu Adams was born in Braintree, Massachusetts Bay on 29 May 1741, the son of John Adams and Susannah Boylston. ^[1]

He married Thankful White on 20 Sep 1765 in Randolph, Massachusetts^[2]

Captain Adams lead troops against the British in Boston Harbor. He died of illness in Cambridge, Massachusetts during the siege of Boston in 1775. ^[3][4] He was buried at what is today known as the "Old Section" of Union Cemetery in Holbrook, Massachusetts (then part of Braintree).^{[5] [6]}
