Biography

"Lucas Pietersz [Koijemans]; mentioned in the court proceedings of Rensselaerswyck under date of Jan. 1650, and is called the brother of Barent Pieters [Koijemans], who came in 1630." [1]

In his will of 1712, Lucas mentions his wife Ariantie; his children Jacob, Johannis, Mary wife of Cornelius Tomason, Yonitie wife of Gidion van Winkle; and the five children of his deceased daughter Geartie, though not by name. [2]
