Dorothy Prescott was born in Groton, Middlesex County, (then) Massachusetts Bay Colony on 16 February 1681, the daughter of Capt. Jonas and Mary (Loker) Prescott.[1][2]
She married John Varnum on 13 November 1700 in Dracut.[3][4] John was the first town clerk, serving from 1702-1713, and so recorded his own marriage in the town books.[2] He was the son of Samuel and Sarah (Langton) Varnum.[5]
She outlived her husband, and was represented in Oct 1722 by her agent in fixing the boundary line between her farm and that of Col. Joseph Varnum, her husband's brother.[2]
