Henry Whelden[1] was baptized 21 February 1619 in Basford, Nottinghamshire, England, son of Gabriel (and probably wife Jane) Whelden.[2]
He emigrated with his parents and siblings about 1638.[2]
August, 1643: Henry Whelden is mentioned as one of those between 16 and 60 able to bear arms in Yarmouth.
August 23, 1645: he was one of five men who went from Yarmouth against the Narragansets and their confederates.
Jan. 25, 1647-8: he was married at Yarmouth, the name of his wife being effaced.
June 21, 1650: Sarah Whelden, who may have been his daughter, was born.
June 30, 1667: he signed a letter to the court in support of the Rev. Thomas Thornton.
He died Oct. 28, 1694.
