Biography
Henry was born in 1677 in Springfield, Mass
Baptised June 8, 1677.
He married Hannah Bliss, May 24, 1705, Springfield, Mass.
They had 2 children: Hannah (1706) and Henry Jr (1707)
On July 26, 1708 Indians attacked the town of Springfield and the Wright family. Seven or 8 Indians rushed into Abel Wright Sr’s house, scalping Martha (who died as a result of her injuries Oct. 19, 1708). Their son Henry's baby was killed and his wife, Hannah, was captured and died soon after (or was killed outright). They knocked in the head of Henry’s daughter Hannah (aged 2), but she later recovered. Perhaps the men were out working in the fields at the time. The Indians also killed 2 soldiers in the town.
Abel Jr. had moved to Lebanon, Conn. in 1700 and after 1708 more of Abel Sr's children moved to Lebanon, CT, including Joseph.
Henry married 2nd Sarah Root, Mar 15, 1711.
He died 1769, age 91, Chicopee, Hampden County, Massachusetts
