PM: Please add Magdalena (Gouverneur) Hall (bef.1706-1778) as the mother for Sarah (Hall) Rittenhouse (abt.1735-1811), the wrong John Hall had been shown as her father & that has been changed, but Gouverneur-8 is protected from relationship changes. The bio already mentions this daughter as one of her children.

I see that Magdalena's will refers to a daughter named Sarah, who was not married as of 1775, but I see no evidence that she is the Sarah who married Peter Rittenhouse. User-contributed web content is not evidence. Moreover, I have doubts about this identification. In particular, I noted that Peter Rittenhouse and Sarah were married before 1750, but Sarah Hall was unmarried as of 1775. If you want this connection to made, we need some evidence.

PM: please remove Elizabeth (Hall) Quick (abt.1726-1810) as a child. The sources for Magdalena indicate that she didn't have a child named Elizabeth, and a source for Elizabeth says that she was the only child of a Dr. John Hall.

Gouverneur-66 and Gouverneur-8 appear to represent the same person because: Same name and spouse, similar estimated birth date

The John Hall attached as a spouse to Gouverneur-66 does not appear to be correct (b. 1699 in Maryland)

Indeed. I disconnected that John Hall.

I am from the Cline line of the Hall Family of Jennings County,IN. I am a Hoosier and I have been to Jennings County many times looking into my family's dealings in the County. I descend from two of his two daughters Phebe Hall Cline and Sarah Hall Coryea. Yes my grandfather James Buchanan Cline married his 2nd cousin Sarah Newkirk Cline. I have also traced the family to Issac Hall SR.'s cousin to Gouverneur Morris. My mother was a Cline and there are still some actual Clines running around Indiana this day.

This branch is potentially very useful to me in my research in the Quick family. John Hall and Magdalena Gouverneur had a daughter Jacomyntje baptized at the North Branch Dutch church 25 Dec 1739. A witness to this baptism was "Elizabeth Hall". Elizabeth Hall was very likely the daughter of John and Magdalena who was born, we think, in 1726. She would later go on to marry 4 times becoming in the process Elizabeth (Hall, Holliday, Quimby, Quick) Quick. We have from other evidence her father was named John Hall.

Hi Timothy,

Thanks for the message I reproposed the merges for the duplicate parents, they were set as unmerged matches also, I think maybe due to the holidays their merges somehow were forgotten, so I think someone now will take care of the merges. As soon as they are merged we can merge the duplicate Magdalena's as well :)

Greets and have a wonderful day !

Magdelena Hall Gouverneur-55 and Magdalena Gouverneur Gouverneur-8 have been marked as Unmerged Matches because duplicate grandparents and parents need to be merged first :)

Greets,

Bea :)
