Biography

Esther Belden was born on October 11, 1716 in Deerfield, Hampshire, Massachusetts Bay Colony. Her parents were William Belden and Margaret Arms. (VR of Deerfield)

She married Daniel Hurlbutt on November 28, 1737. (Conn. Church Rec. Abs.)

In 1773 Esther signed a distribution receipt saying she was satisfied with what she received from John Rockwell's estate.^[1]

Research Notes

John Rockwell's wife's name was Esther. However, John's brother, Jonathan, also married a woman named Esther. Perhaps there is confusion between these two women. {Jonathan Rockwell died after his brother John Rockwell, so their wives are not the same. In John Rockwell's will, he mentions his wife Esther.}
