Research Notes
It was previously stated on this profile that David served in the American Revolution, but that is inaccurate. David's name appears in at least two applications for the Sons of the American Revolution, but his name does appear in at least two applications as the father of soldiers who did: Moses Crosby[8][9] Abner Crosby.[10][11] David Crosby, Jr. was also a soldier and Richard Allen Baxter (SAR #159702) applied for SAR membership with David, Jr. being his Revolutionary War ancestor.[12]
