Capt. Joseph Fuller was a fourth-generation descendant of Mayflower passenger, Samuel Fuller.

Joseph Fuller, son of Joseph Fuller and Lydia Day, was born in Sep 1723 in Colchester, New London, Connecticut. He married Zerviah Hill August 10, 1752 at Kent, Connecticut. Children: Joshua, Benajah, Lydia, Joseph, Jehiel, Abigail, Ruth, William, Surviah, Jeremiah.
