Abizah Brainard performed Patriotic Service in Connecticut in the American Revolution.

Abijah Brainard was born on November 26, 1705 in Haddam, Middlesex, Connecticut. His parents were James Brainerd and Deborah Dudley.

He married Esther Smith on December 28, 1727. Together they had 7 children:
