Biography
When Mary Close was born in 1748 in New Milford, Connecticut, her father, Benjamin, was 36, & her mother, Mary, was 31. Mary married Daniel Babbitt in Dutchess, New York, in 1769 when she was 21 years old. They had 11 children in 23 years. She died on July 4, 1795, in Gagetown, New Brunswick, Canada, at the age of 47.(4thson)
Mary was born about 1750. Mary Close ... "In 1795 his first wife died and she was buried on July 7, of this year." [1]
