My name is Brandi Arlene Ford. I'm the daughter of Terry Glenn Ford and Eva Marie Forbes Ford. I was born on March 17th 1980 and am the first born of 5. My father is the 5th born child of James Audrey Ford and Reba Lorrine Jones Ford. My mother is the 1st born of 12 to Ralph Perry Forbes and Karen Wright Forbes. I know very little about my father's maternal family the Duvall and Jones families. My mother's Family is said to be related to Quanah Parker through her father's family and to the Wright Brothers through her mother's Family. I am trying to prove or disprove this information.

Welcome back, Brandi, and thanks for signing the Honor Code. I hope you discover as much about your family as I have about mine over the last several years.

Check out the How-to pages for some quick tips on working with both the Wiki pages and our other members. There is some great information on those pages and they were published after you joined.

Thank you also for adding your DNA to WikiTree. Getting the Best from DNA will tell you more about how DNA kits are used on WikiTree.

If you have questions about how WikiTree works, let me know and I will try to find answers. Just log into WikiTree and go to your profile. Use the ‘Reply’ link below my comment. Alternatively, click my name, then ask in the comment section of my profile page, or send me a private message.

Hi Brandi,

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.

If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page.

Hi Brandi,

Welcome to WikiTree! The initial email from us has helpful links that will get you started on WikiTree, which is not like any genealogy site you’ve ever used.

WikiTree is different because our goal is to have one profile per person, and that means we all work together as a BIG collaborative team!

Have fun and ask for help in G2G if you need it! WikiTree members are always eager to offer guidance to a fellow genealogist. It’s a fun place too. Take a look at what I mean here, G2G’s Question of the Week.

If you need additional help, our Mentors Project is a friendly bunch of volunteers who will be glad to assist you with WikiTree-specific problems.
