Hendrick Hendricks was born on November 11, 1706, in Middletown, New Jersey to Hendrick Hendrickson and Helena Cortelyou. He married Altje Couwanhoven in 1728 in Monmouth, New Jersey. They had one child during their marriage. He died on July 28, 1783, in Monmouth, New Jersey, having lived a long life of 76 years, and was buried in the Old Brick Reformed Church Cemetery in Marlboro, New Jersey.

Parents
Hendrick's parents are given as William Hendrickson and Williampje Lane in "The Van Kouwenhoven-Conover Family", NYGBR 70-71, 81-83 but as can be seen by his records, he was the son of a Hendrick. He was, however, the grandson of a Hendrick Willems. According the Brouwer genealogy database his father was Hendrick Hendricksen b. bt 1670 - 1677, d. b 3 Jun 1734[8]
