Hi Ginny,

Thanks for having a Big Heart and adopting Orphan Profiles. You will want to read this After adopting orphans FAQ to understand what to do next and it explains the special attention those profiles need.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

Hello Mary,

My sincere apologies. To be honest, no I have not been able to contribute to the US Southern Colonies Project. I really would love too. Unfortunately, right after signing up life through some very serious blows at my family and I leaving very little time to get on here and do much of anything. The little time I have found has been utilized in following up with those on here who have reached out with questions, etc on here resulting in discoveries connected in some way to my family lines. Many of those profiles added or corrected would be connected to those in the project. However, in most cases I didn't have time to go through the steps and/or processes laid out that I had started to go through and learn when I signed up for the projects and before all havoc broke lose here at home. Therefore, resulting in no real contribution to the project. I did learn some and did try to apply labels, etc as I was able. I would still love to contribute to the group or some groups at some point, but maybe it would be best to remove me for now if you feel the need. I completely understand if you do. I do find the notifications useful from time to time though. Thank you for all your hardwork and that of those in the project. Kind regards,

Ginny, I am sorry to hear you have family problems, but do understand. How about this. I will remove the badge. I assume you are still active on WikiTree. When you feel you have learned more and want to return to US Southern Colonies, here is what to do.. if you’d like to rejoin at any stage you would be most welcome to do so by answering the G2G sign-up post here.

I will remove the badge on Sunday. So if you need me to keep you, just reply immediately.

Thank you Mary, I do understand. Yes, to answer your question. I have been using Wikitree since I think 2011 or earlier and have over provided over 4k contributions while working my family lines, so yes I most definitely will be continuing to use the site as I am able and hopefully I will be able to actively join in on your group and others. :)
Hi Ginny

Thank you for adding your DNA to WikiTree. Getting the Best from DNA will tell you more about how DNA kits are used on WikiTree.

I hope this helps! If you have any questions or problems, let me know.

Take care

Wendy ~ WikiTree Greeter
