Correction -- the child at whose baptism Marten and Eytje served as witnesses on 11 January 1730 was Ephraim, the son of Tobyas van Buren (another brother of Eytje) and Annatie (Goes) van Buren.

I am guessing that the belief that Marten had a second marriage is based on the baptism of Elizabeth, the daughter of Marten Vosburgh and Betje Van Dyck at Kinderhook on 15 Sept 1729. However, the Kinderhook records also indicate that on 11 January 1730 (almost 4 months after Elizabeth's baptism) Marten Vosburgh and Eytje Vosburgh served as witnesses at the baptism of Mareijtie, the daughter of Marten V. Buren (Eytje's brother) and Dirckie V. Buren. This suggests that there were two men named Marten Vosburgh in the Kinderhook congregation, and the one who was married to Eytje Van Buren was not the one who had a child with Betje Van Dyck.
