I'm so happy to have been able to spend a few hours in your challenge. It turned out that one of the two burials I chose was misidentified in findagrave and I/(we) were able to correct that and give real credit to the 17 year old who lost his life there. When I go to Washington DC this summer, I will look up his records at the National Archives and link him to the rest of his family on the web. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to serve. I felt like I really got to make a difference for some young man's memory.
Hi Jennifer

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Pre-1700 ancestors can be shared by many descendants, so collaboration is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.

The United States Project may fit your research focus. If not, use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find other possibilities. Review the project page to learn about resources and guidelines as well as how to collaborate with the project members.

Hi Jennifer, I'm interested in connecting to Kane relatives in America. My G Grandfather emigrated to Australia, but the family story is that his brother emigrated to America. I've just had my DNA tested by ancestry. I'm interested in comparing to DNA tests of other Kane descendants. I think my DNA test result should be available on my wikitree profile.

Hi, Peter. Thank you for reaching out to me. I am very interested in Kanes, but at a complete loss on what to do with them.

Ancestry doesn't think find us close enough to be a match. I haven't really figured out GEDMatch. My kit is: A926090. I think it's reporting that we are not a match, but you could look at it and see what you think. The top line has some green bars, but the bottom is all black and I think that means that it's not a match. ~Jennifer.

Hi,

The Global Cemeteries Project is currently undergoing our member check-in and wanted to verify that you are still active and interested in being a member of the project. Are you currently assigned to or working with one of our Cemetery Teams? If not, is there a particular Team or area you are interested in participating with? I would be delighted to help you get setup in one or more of our collaborative teams!

We use Google Groups for internal project collaboration, so if you are not yet setup for access feel free to submit a join request and we will get that approved as quick as possible. We also ask that members check their follwed tags to make sure you are following the correct project tag (CEMETERIES) so you don't miss any disucssions in G2G.

Last, but not least, we would like to thank you for all of your contributions to WikiTree and let you konw that any ideas or suggestions for improvement you may have for the Global Cemeteries Project would greatly appreciated!

I look forward to hearing form you soon!

Hi, Steve, I was confirmed as a member of the project just this week (though I had put in the request a few months back). As a classroom teacher who was recently forced to begin teaching online, I really haven't done much other than school this week so haven't done anything with it or figured out exactly "how" to participate. The message I got confirmed me for the Washington Project, and I tried to confirm it was the Washington County, Oregon project, not WashingtonState, but I've received no reply. I have some work I did on a cemetery that does not appear in the wikitree database that I thought I would add.

She definitely put me on the Washington team. Do you know how to move me to the Oregon team?
Thanks for checking in with us, and thank you for all of your contributions to WikiTree! I have you confirmed for the Oregon Team and have updated the rosters.

Welcome

I am pleased to confirm you as a full member, and welcome you to the WikiTree family, your contributions will go a long way to joining the world together.

I would suggest starting with the How-to pages, they will save you a lot of time and frustration.

I am here to answer any question you have, no matter how trivial you may think it is. There is no such thing as a silly question. Please add as much information as you can, it all helps to turn a “name” back into a person. I hope you enjoy the site

Happy tree climbing
