Hi Stephen

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 QuizBecause pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working within the projects coordinating them is essential. Please ensure location data matches dates of profile, avoid abbreviations. Add citations & links for sources to support the data. From wiki ID go to Research to find sources

The Australia Project would be of interest. Thanks for adding the tag  AUSTRALIA this will provide updates about the project.

Explore Projects list to find one that fits your research focus, whether time period, location, or topic. Read the goals & tasks of the project join if it fits

I keep getting an error message

i uploaded the raw data to yuor portal and got an ID when i try to upload the dna test it says The Ancestry ID may only contain letters, digits, and underscores. the id is STE5b84c67d ther are only letters and digits what do i do?

Hi Stephen,

You don't actually upload your raw DNA data. You add the kit number or member ID based on who you tested with (https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Special:DNATests). This allows others to compare their kits to you. See "Add a DNA test to your profile" (https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:WikiTree_Help:_Add_a_DNA_test_to_your_profile) for more information on adding your test. Remember that it will take at least 24 hours for your kit number or member ID to show up on your ancestors profiles. If it doesn't show up make sure your Privacy is set to "Private with a Public Family Tree." Congratulations on getting your DNA tested and let me know if you have further questions!

I know.

You add the kit number or member ID based on who you tested with (https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Special:DNATests). when you add test and select Ancestry DNA you have options to add 1. profile username 2. YOURDNAPORTAL ID 3. GEDmatch ID When I try to add the kit number I get an error message that says YourDNAportal should have three capital letters and eight alphanumerics. My yourDNA portal does have three capitals and eight alphanumerics STE5b84c67d but when I try to lad this in the yourDNAportal space I get the same error message The Ancestry ID may only contain letters, digits, and underscores. Can you escalate the issue? https://www.yourdnaportal.com/pp/STE5b84c67d shows I did have a test and upload it, but I can't work out what I am doing wrong...

SOLVED

Easy when you know how. The "Ancestry user ID" field is actually Ancestry username The GEDmatch site gives you several numbers. The one you need is in Profile/Profile Deletion & Registration. Thanks for your reply.
