Biography

Henry was born on July 6, 1911 in South Chicago, Illinois.[1][2][3] He was the son of Joseph Kazmierski and Anna Krupa.[1] Henry attended Hammond Technical High School. [4]

Henry served in the United States Army in World War II.[5] After the war, he married Sophia Gloss on July 5, 1947 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Hammond, Indiana.[6][7][8] Henry and Sophia had no children.

Henry worked for the Erie and Chicago Railroad.[2][8][3]

Henry died on July 24, 1979 from respiratory failure at 7428 Jefferson Avenue, Hammond, Indiana and was buried at Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, Illinois.[3]

1930 - appeared in the 1930 United States Census at 1150 Columbia Avenue, Hammond, Lake County, Indiana. He appeared with his parents, Joseph and Anna Kazmerski, his brother, Edmund, and his sisters, Irene, and Clara. [10]

1940 - appeared in the 1940 United States Census at 6236 Columbia Avenue, Hammond, Lake County, Indiana. He appeared with his parents, Joseph and Anna Kazmerski, his brother, Edmund, and his sisters, Irene, and Clara. [11]

October 16, 1940 - registered for the World War II draft in Hammond, Indiana. Henry was described as 5' 8" height, 195 lbs, with grey eyes, blonde hair and a light complexion.[2]

September 4, 1942 - February 22, 1946 - enlisted in the United States Army.[5]

July 5, 1947 - married Sophia Gloss at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Hammond, Indiana.[6][7][8]

July 24, 1979 - died of respiratory failure at 7428 Jefferson Avenue, Hammond, Indiana.[3]

July 27, 1979 - buried at Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, Illinois.[3]
