The Online Book: "Genealogy of the Billerica, Massachusetts, French family from 1599 to 1944"; is the story of a particular line of the French family and is written in at least three parts: * Part I was compiled by Henry Martin Kellogg (1851-1911) of Sound Beach P.O., Greenwich, Connecticut, and published in 1884, covering the family line beginning with the Patriarch Thomas Ffrenche, the Elder, of Wethersfield, County, Essex.[4] This section also tells of the coming of the French family to America on the ship the 'Defence'. * Part II: This edition was copied from Part I and updated by Bonnibell (French) Hodgkins (1865-1931). She focused on the family line of her father, Charles Freedom French, and published this version in 1915. * Part III covers the years 1915 to 1958 and was researched and compiled by Beatrice Augusta (Barnes) Fisher (1925-2013) of Grafton, Vermont. This version was published in 1959 with many copies sold to the descendants of Charles Freedom French. The current version is online at the HathiTrust Digital Library.
