Hi D,

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand the Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.

Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.

Welcome to WikiTree D,

Thank you for upgrading, you are now a family member of the Wikitree community. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Since WikiTree is different from other genealogy sites, we have a tour for new members How To the How to pages, really useful as you add profiles and learn your way around

I would recommend adding tags like your surname, your mother and grandmother's maiden surnames and the country of your family origins. Clicking your green tags shows who is following the tag. Adding surname tags improves links to the community, research options and projects. If a tag only comes back to you the tag will need amending to link into the community. To add Tags: My Tags

Check out our very active G2G forum . There you can post questions, join projects and challenges, and learn more about the WikiTree community. You can get involved as much or as little as works for you. Be sure to check out the drop-down menus at the very top-right hand side of your profile, there is a lot to discover.

To contact me, please log in to WikiTree and go to your profile. Use the ‘Reply’ link below my comment to be sure I will be notified. You can also click my name to send a private message, or post a comment, on my profile page.
