Biography

Sarah Pemberton^[1] was born in New London, Connecticut, about 1668,^[2][3][4] probably the daughter of James Pemberton.

She married Sampson Haughton about 1686.

Sampson Haughton, born circa 1650, a child of Richard Haughton and his second wife Katherine. Sampson is named in his father's will dated May 24, 1681. Sampson married Sarah, circa 1686, children: Abigail; Sampson Jr.; Sarah; Ebenezer; Elizabeth; unnamed child; Margaret; Christopher; Mercy; Jerusha; Katherine.

Sampson Sr. died January 12, 1718 at New London, Connecticut.
