Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Pre-1700_Profiles. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines laid out on that page.
I'm still reading up on al the information on how to do things on Wikitree, it seems a daunting task, there is so much information and different pages to access it but most of it is accessible from whatever page your on. which is good.
I'm not researching any particular Surname. I have a family tree on Ancestry that is over 100K people, but
a lot of them are not really connected to me and I have a lot of duplicates that I need to weed out. One of these days I will get it done and upload a very Large Gedcom file to Wikitree. I'm not sure about using tags yet I will read about them next.
Thanks for all your Help
Bob

PS Did you add some Tags? They control the activity which is included in the weekly emails from WikiTree. To get the best results, add separate tags for each surname and spelling variation of interest. You can have up to 20 total and can delete some if you are receiving irrelevant information.
Thanks for having a big heart and adopting the Orphaned Profiles. This After Adopting Orphans FAQ explains the special attention adopted profiles will sometimes need. One quick way to find the profiles you adopted is by searching your Contributions List for the word "adopted". You can find a quick link to your Contributions List in the My WikiTree dropdown menu.
Let me know if you have any questions on how to find and record sources, merge duplicates, clean up GEDCOM biographies, and interpret the Suggestions report. I'm here to help!

PS If you have any GEDCOM cleanup to do, there is a new tool that can help. You can read more about it in the WikiTree AGC FAQ.
