I am the daughter of Samuel Gordon Clark and Mary Baggett Clark. My paternal grandparents were Emma Maude Gordon and Samuel Chester Clark. My GreatGrandparents were Martha Rowena Hudson Gordon and John Anthony Pulaski Quitman Gordon. My Great Aunt was Mary Martha Gordon Hodge, or better known as Aunt Mattie Mae, who was a school teacher. Evidently, my father lived with Mattie Mae, her husband Mr. Hodge, and his daughter Mary during the week so he could continue his schooling during the depression years.
