Lucinda was born in 1835 to William Wamsley and Prudence Wilmoth. Lucinda Wamsley ... She passed away in 1872. [1]

Lucinda Wamsley married and William Madison Ware on April 19, 1855 in Randolph County, VA. [2]

William and Lucinda had 11 children together before her passing. (William remarried to Emily Gilpin and they had 3 children.) [3]

Death and Burial

Lucinda Ware Wamsley died in 1872 in Randolph County, WV. [4]

She passed away along with her daughter, Lucinda Jane Wamsley, in September 1872 both succumbing to "fever" that was widespread throughout the County at that time. "Fever" was usually written on death certificates in VA/WV when in fact it was probably "Yellow Fever" brought down from Philadelphia. Lucinda was 36. Lucinda Jane was 3.
