Bobby Jacobs,

The Mary A. Braswell b. abt 1836 KY, looks like part of my Boardvine R. Braswell b. 1799 NC (1850 Clinton, KY, census), b. 1820 in Surry, NC, to Lola Elizabeth Lawson b. 1803 NC. By 1830 they were in Cumberland, KY (later divided into Clinton County), where they lived the rest of their days. This is my family that I have been researching for 40 years and I have a LOT of information. You can see some of it on Ancestry at Braswell-Underwood. I will be putting the rest in soon, as I go. I needed a place to put it that is simple and easy. That is Ancestry.

I see that Angela Driver has put in my grandfather, Arnold DeWitt Braswell. I have contacted her. I don't know right now where you fit. I have some Anderson, SC, Braswells matching me on ThruLines in Ancestry. That is the best website/place I have found to match cousins. Also for the Boardvine Braswell family, look at FTNDA under both the Bracewell/Braswell and Riggs yDNA project. Three of my Braswell cousins yDNA tested at FTDNA and they test Riggs, no Bra**. So we are looking for a Rgigs. I also match a couple of Riggs males whose family is from Sumner, TN, and they go back to Orange, NC. My grandfather was born in Allen, KY, and his father, Ellison Lacy Braswell, was born in Clinton, KY, but moved to Sumner, TN, around 1880, after the Civil war. Don't reinvent the wheel. I have it.
