Hi Robert,

My family name is Guillaume and i wonder if I am related to the Belgian Guillaumes who emigrated to Uppsala, Sweden. Are you dna relative of Greta Burkvist at ftdna family finder? She has both Olsson and Mattson in her list of names. Thanks , Richard

I came across a number of duplicate profiles, results of your GEDCOM import in March 2015. Those coincide with profiles from another GEDCOM import, performed by Joakim Larsson M.Ed. in September 2014: Helena Månsdotter (abt.1575-1642), Ivarus Matthiae Gestricius (abt.1570-1641), Katarina Ivarsdotter Leufstadia (-1656). I have placed an "unmerged match" on each of these three.

Please merge them and check if there are more that need to be merged.

I found your note on http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Andersson-1197 and removed the incorrect parents. The profile had been imported in 2011 from a Frankensteinian monster of a family tree concocted at Ancestry. The profile is open and orphaned so anyone can edit it as they please. If you find more errors of this type you are welcome to correct them.

I noticed your new Club 1000 Club badge for March 2015.

Hi Robert!

We are really happy that you took the Pre-1700 certification Quiz. Thank you for doing your part to make WikiTree an accurate and openly collaborative place for genealogists to share their research.

Before entering your profiles, it's important to make sure that person doesn't already exist on WikiTree. A project can help you determine if your family is already here, and help you connect with members who have similar interests. If you have people born before 1700 in your tree, let me know and I'll introduce you to a Project Leader so you can get started.

For more about pre-1700s ancestors, check out our Pre-1700s profiles help page.

If you have any further questions, please post on my profile page as your own page may not be visited very often. I will be happy to help you.

Hi Robert, have you resolved the gedcom matter yet? Once the gedcom is uploaded and you have checked for matches and skipped any with no name eg Unknown, there is an option at the bottom to 'Approve' the gedcom. Then it will pass to our gedcom manager for verification. Once she has approved it, you have the option to 'Import' to Wikitree.

Hi,

I have uploaded my gedcom file but I would like to see the result in my family tree too. I do not want to fill all the names in my family tree again. How do I do?

Hi Robert

Thank you for joining WikiTree. As a WikiTree Mentor I am available to answer any questions or help solve any issues you may be having.

How To Use WikiTree is a good starting point and the Help Index is an important place to find out how to do most tasks.

Do you have Royal Ancestors? They are already here on Wikitree! Rather than create duplicate profiles for them, please contact the EuroAristo Project to discuss connecting your family line to their profiles.

Feel free to ask me via my profile page if you have any questions.

Hi! I noticed you uploaded a GEDCOM. Our process here is a little different than what you might find on other sites because of our goal of growing one worldwide tree with a single profile for each individual. Here's a link to a great step-by-step of the process including screenshots that you might find helpful. You might also want to check out our Before You Import a GEDCOM help page. Feel free to message me if you have any questions!

I was interested in Genealogy in the year 2010 and I discovered that I have ancestors from Scandinavia and from Wallonia in Belgium.
