The son of John Morgan and Sarah (Hendershot) Morgan, Charles Morgan was born Saline Township^{[citation needed]}, Michigan in 1846, residing there with his family.^[1][2] Their farm was located outside the township, being enumerated within the Manchester post area in 1860 and within the Macon postal area in 1870 .^[3]

Charles married Henrietta (Boughner) Morgan, marrying in Tecumseh Township, Michigan on January 13, 1870^[4] and having three children together. They made their home in Saline Township, where Charles farmed on his own account.^[5]

Widowed in 1883, Charles remarried, marrying Emma (Winters) Morgan in Macon Township,Michigan on May 12, 1885,^[6] having one son together. They made their home at Charles' farm, which was then enumerated in 1894 in Saline Township^[7] and by 1900 in Macon Township.^[8]

Charles Morgan passed away in Macon Township^[9] at the age of 62 and is buried in the Morgan family plot at Macon Cemetery on Mills-Macon Highway Macon Township, Michigan.^[10]
