From the book called "New England Families, Genealogical and Memorial: A Record of the ..., Volume 1" John Worden Beckwith, son of Thomas Worden Beckwith, was born in Chatham, on Sugar Island, Miramichi River, New Brunswick, probably in 1810 and died at Presque Isle, Maine in 1893. He was a farmer in Maysville (Presque Isle ) and a deacon of the Free Will Baptist Church there. He married Sarah Monroe, born in 1809, at Deer Island, Maine and died at Presque Isle in 1891.
