Augustin Benoit is one of twins.

Augustin, whose godparents were Augustin Fournier and Elisabeth Vegiar, and Marie Desanges, whose godparents were Jean Baptiste Meunier and Francoise Letourneau, were born 12 Apr 1787 and baptized the same day in the parish of Saint-Mathias, Province de Québec. They were the children of Paul Benoit and Élisabeth (no surname given). ^[1]

Augustin Benoit, adult son of Paul Benoit and Elisabeth Chaumé, and Charlotte Racicot, minor daughter of Etienne Racicot and Charlotte Robert, were married 4 Feb 1812 in the parish of Saint-Nom-de-Marie, Sainte-Marie-de-Monnoir, Bas-Canada. ^[2]
