Biography

He was born about 1648 in Lille, Flandres francaises, France-Nord.

After a sojourn of 10 years in the Palatinate, he emigrated from France to America about 1675.

In 1678 he settled in New Paltz, New York, where he was one of twelve patentees. His home was built in 1698 and is still standing on Huguenot Street in New Paltz, New York and has not been modernized.

Louis Bevier married on 24 Sep 1682 at Andries to Marie Leblanc. [1]

He died about 1720 in New Paltz, Ulster County, New York.
